Primary Sources for World History Teachers

In addition to vast holdings of American prints, photographs, maps, manuscripts, etc., the Library of Congress has plentiful digital resources for world history teachers. The World Digital Library http://www.wdl.org/en/ provides over 12,000 digital items from 193 countries from 1200 BCE to 2000 CE.  The World Digital Library may be searched by place, time, topic, type, language and institution and provides interactive timelines and maps.  While the summer allows some time for pleasure reading and research, check out the rich resources of the World Digital Library.
